“I also spent a week choreographing/directing a number of fight sequences for a violence-ridden independent flick. Used the Mirror Drill, ECT (it always blows their minds), and Range Rover for quite a bit of the coaching and development of the choreography. A lot of our stuff, some ninja. Couldn’t be around for most of principal photography, so have not seen the end result, but the director has been quite happy with how things have turned out thus far.”

“Everything is great down here! I keep integrating PDR into my previous program and every new experiencie with PDR stuff in my courses is amazing! I’m always discovering new details. The stuff is really amazing and I can see that there are hours and hours invested in developing the S.P.E.A.R. System, because every little detail makes sense.”

Lance Fox climbed to the top of Mt. Everest on May 21st, 2009. Fox was part of the Himalayan Expedition 2009 otherwise known as Himex. This is the expedition company that is highlighted on the Discovery Channel’s series, “Everest: Beyond the Limit.” Lance will appear on season 3 of the show, set to air this November.
Prior to his departure, he offered to take small items of importance to family members and carry them to “the top of the world.” Everyone in the Fox’s immediate family gave him something small to carry in a pouch that he had designated for such things.
After much thought, Lance’s brother Ryan decided to give him a Blauer Tactical S.P.E.A.R. System challenge coin that Ryan received from Coach Blauer while attending S.P.E.A.R. Instructor School in Green Bay, WI in the fall of 2006.
According to Ryan, “Not only is the coin important to me because I am fortunate enough to be a department S.P.E.A.R. Instructor, but I really wanted to motivate my brother. Mt. Everest is extremely demanding physically, but even more so mental. Even though Lance is not in law enforcement, (he’s a veterinarian for Alpharma Animal Health), I was able to tweak and apply the ‘Three Fights’ to his situation.”
Ryan continues, “I channeled your motivational words into him. At his emotionally lowest times while on the mountain, he would remember that it was his fight, that he was ‘point’ and continue to push on. I firmly believe those words of encouragement helped give him the strength to make it to the top of the world and back.”
